WFHB and Bloomington Area Music are partnering to explore possible adaptive reuse of the Rogers Street Firehouse. What sort of services could YOU see in that building to serve the local music community?

    • Concert space

      I would like an inexpensive venue to stage acoustic concerts and record/video them. I'm sure that teaching spaces would also be welcomed.

      • Free or cheap rehearsal space

        Bands constantly getting in trouble for being too loud in a residential area or too big a band to fit in a house could use this space to rehearse!

          • musicians collective

            get ahold of comcast and see if we can run our own televised programming in our region on comcast cable, also have dedicated people to interview bands and let them play sets and be televised or recorded. they have cable based public domain shows all over in other states. and this town has plenty of music to interview and share with alot. artist and musicians want to be taken more seriously, lets make things more serious then!

            • Musician/Artist clubhouse

              Artists and musicians could collaborate and discuss ideas. Affordable rehearsal space would also be available. Basically a place for local artsists/musicians to meet and stay connected.
